For Audrey with an edge

Hey guys!

So here are the nails that I did before I went on vacation. I used China Glaze For Audrey as a base for every nail except for the pinky nail, in which I used China Glaze Tinsel Town.

For the thumb, I added a layer of Funky Fingers Stage Dive. I left the index finger with only For Audrey. On the middle finger, I used tiny beads in a very similar color to For Audrey. The beads didn't last very long but I loved the overall look of it! On the ring finger, I added a nail sticker from Kiss nails.

Once again, I am happy to be getting back into the swing of things and I hope you all are looking forward to more posts :) The next post will be a guest post.

Crystal Stars...Why Not!

If you follow me on Twitter, you would have already known I was going to post today! I am actually pretty surprised that I said I was going to do it and actually came through haha.

Just a quick update before I talk about the above manicure. I am still working and I just started summer classes. I really am trying to get back into blogging. I want to get back on a schedule of doing it. I tweeted a lot about this earlier today but I will mention it here as well. I don't want you guys to expect to see a lot of new nail polish on here because in all honesty, I haven't really been buying nail polish at all. I am going to be doing a lot of manicures with the nail polishes I already have. Plus, there are going to be a lot of reviews coming soon. I have so many that I need to get done so you guys need to bare with me! I am also hoping to get a giveaway up soon for all of my loyal followers that have stuck around while I have been popping in and out of here.

Anyway, here is the breakdown of the manicure above:

Base Coat: Milani Base Coat/Nail Grow
Base Color: Sinful Colors Why Not
Pointer Finger: China Glaze Liquid Crystal over Sinful Colors Why Not
Ring Finger: Truth of Isis star decorations  with a bit of China Glaze Liquid Crystal dabbed on top.
Top Coat: Seche Vite

China Glaze Liquid Crystal

I would love if you kindly ignore my horrible nails and cutiles! These are the hands of a working woman haha!

I know it has been a while since I last posted. Between school, work and life I really don't have much time for anything. I have a ton of reviews that I need to get out to you guys.

I also haven't really been painting my nails much because they get really messed up at work. I bought China Glaze Liquid Crystal at Ulta last week. I didn't even know this was part of a new collection lol I am so out of the loop.

Anyway, I hope this post will do for now..I am getting the flu and I figured if I am going to be laying in bed for the next couple hours, I might as well do at least one useful thing!

Valentine's Day Mani feat. Milani Jewel FX in Red

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone, whether you are celebrating it or not! I hope you all enjoy your days!

I finally got around to painting my nails last night :) They are super short so I haven't really been in the mood to do anything with them :(  I went to CVS yesterday and saw this new Milani Jewel FX in Red. I have been drooling over it on the Milani website for weeks, so as soon as I saw it I picked it up and ran to the register!

As a base I used that cute little nail polish shaped as a boot (look down there!). It is from a brand called Midie and it is in the shade #314. Then I stamped some hearts using China Glaze Icicle. On the accent nail, I used Milani Jewel FX in Red.

Honestly, I will probably be covering over all the other nails with the Milani polish haha. I love it so much!

Blue Year's Eve in Tinsel Town

Ok - so if you follow me on Facebook, you know I said I probably wasn't going to be posting up anything until next week. Well, I lied! I ended up finishing up some school work and now I have a little free time and because of some other great school news I received, I AM FEELING PRETTY DAMN HAPPY!

Today's mani is something I have been sporting all week. I can't bring myself to take it off because I love the way this looks!

Base: China Glaze Tinsel Town (2-3 coats) - The polish applies really well!
Accent: China Glaze Blue Year's Eve with China Glaze Snow Globe layered on top. - I love this combo. The blue and purple reflect from Blue Year's Eve paired with the multi colored glitters of Snow Globe that give off a flakie feel looks so good!

Holiday Spirit (plus my prize from PolishedComponents.com)

Wait - why isn't there a bottle of nail polish in my hand?! Well..I was waiting for my next class and my nail polish was starting to peel and I had the urge to start peeling the glitter from my pointer finger LOL

I used Wet n Wild Black Creme as a base. Then I taped off a few patterns and used China Glaze Twinkle Lights (which I won from PolishedComponents.com).

Here is the prize I won from PolishedComponents.com:

From left to right: Holly-Day, Twinkle Lights, Poinsetta

From left to right: Blue Year's Eve, Tinsel Town, Icicle, Snow Globe

Candy Man pendant. Isn't this so cool?

My Holiday Giveaway ends Dec. 17. It isn't too late to enter!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! My Halloween Series turned out to be a FAIL. I actually did have about 5 posts planned out but it really did not work out and time was not on my side!

The above manicure was done using China Glaze Zombie Zest on the pinky and thumb, China Glaze Ick-a-bod-y on the index and ring fingers. The sunlight made Zombie Zest look super gross on my pinky nail in these pics but you can see the actual color on the thumb nail in the second picture. I striped both China Glaze polishes over Wet n Wild Black Creme on the middle finger.

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend because I sure did! Have a safe Halloween everyone.

Halloween Series: Quick and Simple Flames

Hey guys! I have decided to run a mini Halloween series. Today, I have a nail art idea. I used CND Eclectic Purple as a base. I painted on "flames" using Color Club Koo-Koo Cachoo and China Glaze Ick-a-bod-y.

This would also look cool with a red background (for a "Hell" theme") but I think the purple looks great! This is a veryyy simple mani to do if you run out of time while getting your costume together!

Spotted Watermelon

Today's manicure features China Glaze Watermelon Rind with Unforgettable Moments Precious Metal "konaded" on top.

There is definitely a few bald spots on my ring finger nail and some smudging from not letting Watermelon Rind dry completely before konading. I was a little too impatient!

I just wanted to let you guys know that I will be hosting a giveaway on my blog very soon. I will be posting about it next week! If you are not already subscribed, click the "Follow" button over on the right hand side of this page so you can know when to enter!

Other than that, I have a few other exciting posts coming up in the near future so keep an eye out for those. Hope you all are enjoying your week!

Knotty Wine

Hey all.

Above is a manicure using China Glaze Knotty and Omega Labs Nail Art Striper Brush in Burgundy Wine, that were sent to me from NaildeRoyale.com, which I mentioned here. I also L.A Colors Nail Art Brush in White on the accent nail.

China Glaze Knotty is a tan colored nail polish with scattered holographic flecks throughout the polish. If I remember correctly, I used three coats of this polish for full opacity.

I absolutely love love love the brush on the Omega Labs Nail Art Striper Brush in Burgundy Wine. It is super thin, which allows for a better use of this polish. The formula is also very nice compared to the thickness of the L.A Colors Nail Art Brushes. I highly recommend this Omega Labs polish!

There are noticeable nicks on this manicure and I have a pretty bad cut by my cuticle on my ring finger, which I tried to cover up as best as I could in these pictures!

Red, White and Blue!

Happy (early) 4th of July! The above manicure was done using Maybelline Eternal Red, China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-Le and a LA Colors Nail Art Deco polish in White.

Now, I have to admit - this manicure is all kinds of crazy! The thumb nail and the pinky nail are completely different designs. The pinky nail didn't even turn out to be much of a design anyway because I was rushing to leave my house and did a couple sloppy lines on that nail!

Get this! Like I said, I was in a rush to leave my house. Check out my right hand:

LMAO!

Glow-in-the-Dark Rave Party

Base Color: Sally Hansen Black Out
Swirls: Jordana Tangy, China Glaze Tree Hugger and China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-Le
Tool Used: Dotter

Doesn't this mani remind you of a Glow-in-the-Dark Paint rave party? I should have added a glow-in-the-dark top coat on this mani from the ones I hauled here!

Tissue Paper Manicure

I was feeling a little creative the other day and decided to try something new! Now, I don't know if anyone else has ever done this but it popped into my head to use tissue paper on my accent nail!

I painted every nail except the accent nail in 2 coats of China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-Le. Then, I painted the accent nail in a coat of Confetti Wedding White and let it dry almost completely.

Next, I cut tiny pieces of tissue paper. I used a baby blue tissue paper and a tan with hexagonal silver glitter tissue paper.

Then, I applied a coat of Seche Vite on the accent nail and began to layer the tissue paper onto the nail, trying to get it as flat and smooth onto the nail as possibly. Finally, I applied a coat of Seche Vite over all my nails and let dry!

I Hug Trees!

I know, I know. I haven't made a proper post in a few days. I apologize to all you lovely people! Above is three thin coats of China Glaze Tree Hugger. I absolutely love this green. It is so earthy and perfect for the spring and summer. The color is much more like the bottle color than what is showing up on my nails.

On the accent nail I stamped on a flower design from the free Born Pretty Store Hello Kitty Plate that they have been sending out, if you signed up for one. I have to say, I really like these stamp plates. They provide a quick, pretty design that will definitely catch the eyes of your peers!

I will be announcing the winner of my 100 Follower Giveaway within a day or two. I am still validating entries, so keep an eye out for that! Hope you all are having a great week so far =]

Peri-wink-le Hottie

Two coats of China Glaze Peri-wink-le. LOVE this color. Sinful Colors Hottie layered over Peri-wink-le on the accent nail.

Long day = short post. Sorry guys, but I think I will just let the polish speak for itself this time!

4 days left to enter my 100 Follower Giveaway!

Blue Skies and Green Grass

From L to R: Kleancolor Neon Green, China Glaze For Audrey, Confetti Wedding White

Being that yesterday was the start of the Spring season, I decided to do a quick manicure based on what I love about the Spring season: warm air, blue skies and bright green grass.

A little side note: I am 7 followers away from having a giveaway! Come on guys! Help me hit that 100 GFC follower mark!
