This is KleanColor Party Fever, which is a multi colored hexagonal glitter with red micro glitter top coat, over OPI Guy Meets Gal-veston.

Isn't this cute and festive?

Guy Meets Gal-veston

This is OPI Guy Meets Gal-veston from the Texas Collection. It is a red-orange with a slight pink tinted jelly based nail polish. I applied 4 coats and there is still a very visible nail line. However, this nail polish is super fun and really stands out!

I used Confetti Wedding White and Revlon Gold Coin to make the design on the accent nail!

Happy Easter!

From Left to Right: Sally Hansen Sweet Creams, Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure, Ulta The Jungle Look, Jordana Tangy, OPI Banana Bandanna, CND Eclectic Purple

Happy Easter! I hope you all are enjoying your day.

Today's manicure consists of 2-3 coats of Sally Hansen Sweet Creams, which is a sheer and very light pink. I added a thin layer of Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure over every nail, including the accent nail. Then over Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure on the accent nail, I painted flower stems using Ulta The Jungle Look. I used Jordana Tangy, OPI Banana Bandanna and CND Eclectic Purple for the flowers. The stem and flowers were painted on using some paint brushes from a pack of 25 that I purchased at Michaels for less than $5.

OPI Ink

This is OPI Ink, a navy blue suede nail polish that I absolutely LOVE. I probably say this about 99.9% of my nail polishes but I really do love this one. I purchased this at Ulta on my first trip there a few weeks ago. I was kind of surprised to see this there, being that this nail polish came out about 2 years ago from what I know.

I just love the effect that this nail polish creates. It looks just like denim! I also stamped on Hello Kitty from the Hello Kitty Stamping Plate from the Born Pretty Store.

My Favorite Nail Polishes of the Year!

As a way to wrap up the year, I figured I would develop a list of my favorite polishes that I have acquired this year! These are not necessarily polishes that were released this year. They are just favorites out of the ones I purchased in 2010.

By the way, if I haven't already stated before, 2010 was the year I fell in love with nail polish! My polish stash has grown significantly this year!

This list is not in any certain order!

  • Milani Chantilly and Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure
  •  Sally Hansen Diamond (middle)
  •  Revlon Perplex (far left) and Milani Hi-Res (far right)
  •  OPI Banana Bandanna
  •  Milani Hi Tech
  •  Color Club Poptastic
  • Milani Gems and Wet n Wild Prancer

OPI Banana Bandanna w/ Vintage Flower Pattern

OPI Banana Bandanna. This is three coats of this creamy, pastel yellow polish. As with all yellows, there is still a visible nail line but I don't mind it with this polish! It is a beautiful color and I cannot stop looking at my nails. =] It is actually a bit more like banana yellow than what is showing up in the picture though.

On the accent nail I did a vintage looking flower pattern. I used N.Y.C 122A (hate that there is no name for these polishes, unless I am wrong and I am just missing the label?) for the darker flower color which is actually a orange shimmer in the bottle but looks much darker when applied. The brighter flower were done with Maybelline Wet Shine in Juicy Tomato, which is a bright red orange. For the stems I used China Glaze Zombie Zest! And of course I used my handy dotting tools to create this simple look.

CND Eclectic Purple

Base color: CND Eclectic Purple
Accent Nail: dotted with American Apparel Peacock and OPI Banana Bandanna

CND Eclectic Purple is opaque in ONE COAT! Did I just say that? ONE COAT?! Yes... one coat. I love it and the color is awesome. It is actually about a shade darker than what is picking up in this picture. Application wasn't bad at all and neither was clean up!

This was my first time using this CND, American Apparel and OPI brands and I am very satisfied with CND. I have yet to do a full mani with Peacock and Banana Bandanna but I can't wait! Of course the colors aren't appropriate for the season, but I guess I am a polish rebel ;p
