A Royal Wedding

A couple weeks ago, I attended a wedding of a friend. It included all the festivities of a traditional Hindu wedding, including the mehendi night! That explains the henna on my hand :)

The manicure was done using a Love & Beauty polish which I do not know the name of because I can't find the bottle :(

The gems are from Kiss Nails and you can view the package I used by clicking here. I don't really recommend them though because they did not last very long on my nails.

On the accent finger, I tried out those beads that have been very popular in nail art recently. I ordered a pack of 12 from here for $2.33 ! I really do like it and I am looking forward to trying other looks with the different colors.

I tried to match my nails as close as possible to the colors of my sari!

Animal Print..but not really.

It has been a while since I have posted anything nail related, huh? I was going for some kind of animal spots. I didn't turn out the way I imagined it in my head but I still kind of like it!

I used Zoya Avery as a base. For the spots, I used Milani Brown-a-licious. For the outline of the spots, I mixed Love & Beauty Almond and Milani Brown-a-licious.

Gettin' Nutty

WOW! I haven't done a manicure post in what seems like FOREVER! That is going to change though. I just got a new bottle of Seche Vite and I am getting back into a steady schedule with school and life so expect to see regular posting (hopefully!).

The above manicure was done using two Love & Beauty polishes from the haul I posted here. The base polish is a scented polish called Natural, with the scent being Almond. Now, this doesn't exactly smell like almonds. It has a sweet scent that takes getting used to, at least for me. It doesn't smell nutty at al, but of course I don't know what usual almond scents smell like.

I accented the ring finger with Love & Beauty Turqoise, a polish with hexagonal and micro glitter. I topped it off with Maybelline Matte Maker because I tried using a Sally Hansen quick dry 2 in 1 top coat/base coat that I had laying around (because I ran out of Seche Vite) and it caused bubbles, which I HATE!

Thank you for reading! Leave a comment if you like =]

Mini Love & Beauty Nail Polish Haul

Of course I have been slacking on these blog posts lately! It was my 21st birthday, Labor Day weekend and the school semester has started. Plus, I have run out of Seche Vite top coat and cotton balls and haven't had a chance to pick them up! I am all full of excuses =]

New posts coming soon! Which of these polishes would you like to see first?

Poke-A-Dots

Hey all!

Today's mani was done using a base of Love & Beauty Coral. The dots, Milani Hi-tech and Confetti Wedding White, were added using a dotting tool.

My 21st birthday is in 5 days!

The Tree of Life

Base Color: Love & Beauty Mint
Stamping Image: BM-225
Stamp Color: Confetti Wedding White

Hey all! I attended another wedding over the weekend and this was the manicure I have been wearing since Friday. This has to be one of my favorite manicures ever! I absolutely love the base color and the stamping pattern seemed like the perfect design to go with it.

Let's Stand Under the Mistletoe *wink* (and China Glaze Mrs. Clause swatch)

Base Color: Love & Beauty Bronze

Today I have another simple holiday look for you guys! I used 3 coats of Love & Beauty Bronze. I then applied fimo slices and red rhinestones to create a simple mistletoe image to the accent nail. My nail glue has dried up, so I used Seche Vite Top Coat to apply the fimo slices and rhinestones.

This is two coats of China Glaze Mrs. Clause. This polish has silver and red glitter suspended in a pinkish red jelly base. I used two coats but could have definitely used another coat or two because there was a visible nail line.

Eh, I could live without this polish. Although pretty as a PINK polish, as a RED its just "bleh".

NAIL ART: A LITTLE BIT OF ART

Free-hand manicure. It looks bubble-y and bumpy, but at least this time I wanted it to be that way! To get it that way, I applied Nailene's ACRYLIC STRONG top coat while my nail polish was still wet. I don't quite know why this particular top coat does that to my manicure when I apply it! *shrugs*

There is some wear visible on the tip of the middle finger and the corner of the thumb. OH WELL!!

Nail Polishes Used:

-Quirius (280 Orange Slush)
-love & beauty (BR4153 Bronze)
-Maybelline foreverstrong (140 Time for Wine)
-Maybelline EXPRESS FINISH (95 Berry Boucle)
-Nailene ACRYLIC STRONG top coat
