Guest Post: Starlight Radiance
Hello everyone! I'm really excited to be guest blogging for TheVEROBlog today! I've been a follower of hers for at least a year now (probably way longer than that) and really love the fun nail art she does!
I thought that I would share with you one of my favorites! With purple being my favorite color, I thought that Zoya - Dannii would be great! Dannii is a soft lilac with pink and gold shimmer. It is such a pretty and feminine color!
So shimmery!
And check out all of the shimmer in that bottle!
I really love pink and purple together, and Dannii shows it off very well. This actually ended up being my base for my monochromatic nails! Purple everywhere!
Thanks to everyone for reading, I'm glad to be sharing with you and giving TheVEROBlog a hand as well. Keep on painting!
Note from TheVEROblog:
Thank you so much Sarah for guest posting on my blog! I know it took me forever to post this up but I am so appreciative. Her nails look gorgeous up there, don't they?!
Although Sarah is currently taking a break from blogging, check out her blog Starlight Radiance and leave her lovely comments!

Kiss 100 Full Cover Nails Review
(yes, I do realize this picture is super grainy but at least the colors are correct!)
If you read my Duane Reade Haul post, I mentioned that I purchased these Kiss 100 Full Cover Nails in Medium Length Active Square and the reasons why I did.
The package comes with 5 different sizes. This is the main thing to think about when purchasing fake nails - not all the nails will fit perfectly to your nail size. This happened to be the case with me. With some of the nails applied, I can still see my natural nail on the corners.
In terms of length, the package claims to be medium length but I found them to be too long (so I can't even imagine the long length package!). I ended up cutting them and filing them down a bit. If I do purchase these again, I will definitely go with the short length nails.
The glue that comes with the package is pretty good. It doesn't dry up in the bottle after one use and it has been holding up pretty well. I have had these nails on for two days now and only the thumb nail on my right hand came off last night, but that may have been error on my part. When I glued that nail on, I left a major air bubble. All I had to do was glue it back on and I am good to go :)
I painted the nails using Zoya Skye and I did a simple design on the accent nail using the Sinful Colors polishes Why Not and Hazard from my Duane Reade Haul.
Final Verdict: I will probably purchase the short length for future occasions where my nails look like crap and I need a quick fix!

Matte and Abstract
Hey all,
Hope you all had a great week. Today's post was done using Zoya Kendal as a base. I mattified it with Maybelline Matte Maker and stamped a design with Wet n' Wild Black Creme. As you can see, I messed up the pointer finger but I didn't have the patience to go back and fix it haha.

Animal Print..but not really.
It has been a while since I have posted anything nail related, huh? I was going for some kind of animal spots. I didn't turn out the way I imagined it in my head but I still kind of like it!
I used Zoya Avery as a base. For the spots, I used Milani Brown-a-licious. For the outline of the spots, I mixed Love & Beauty Almond and Milani Brown-a-licious.

Zoya Feel Collection
Left to Right: Avery, Kennedy, Kendal, Megan, Kristin, Carey
This is definitely long overdue guys. I know, but better late than never right? The picture above is super grainy, but it was the only way I could get the colors to be somewhat accurate. For more pictures, you can go directly to the Zoya Feel Collection here.
These are all neutral creams and for the most part I like them. As with all creams, the formula can be a little thick but not to the point where you cannot work with it!

Zoya Yara with Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure
Hey guys! I am slowly getting back into the blogging mood.
Today I have a manicure done using two to three coats of Zoya Yara and then one coat of Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure. I really love this combo - it reminds me of a forest or woodsy area during the fall time.
I hope you all are enjoying your year so far! My next post will be the entire Zoya Feel Collection.

Zoya: Yara and Dove
Hey all! I hope you guys had a wonderful weekend. I don't usually post on Sundays but I am actually home today and I am trying to get a lot of stuff done before Thanksgiving!
A couple weeks ago, Zoya had a promotion where you get two polishes for the price of shipping, which is $6.96 USD. This was a deal I could not pass up because Zoya nail polishes retail for $7 each. The two that I chose were Yara and Dove.
Yara is a pickle green nail polish with iridescent gold shimmer throughout the polish. IT IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! After seeing swatches on a few other blogs, it just had to be mine!
Dove is a cement grey creme polish that I have been eyeing for a while. I do not have many "basic" color polishes and for some reason I was drawn to this one rather than another "out there" polish like Yara.
Sorry for the slight blurriness of these pictures! I stamped Yara over 2 coats of Dove with a pattern from the Bundle Monster plate BM-209.

Zoya Valerie
This is Zoya Valerie. Isn't she a beaut? She applies beautifully as well! Zoya Valerie is opaque in one coat but I applied two to make me feel comfortable LOL. I wish I could capture the deep purple shimmer with orange under tones a little better (like I said I am working on it!). For the accent nail I applied a simple design with Jennifer "Gold" with a nail art brush.

*UPDATED* Feelin' a Little Girly! (now includes China Glaze Flying Dragon swatch)
This manicure is making me feel super girly! The above manicure is one coat of Zoya Katy as the base color with China Glaze For Audrey, China Glaze Flying Dragon and Sinful Colors Frenzy dotted on with a dotting/marbling tool. As with the last manicure I posted, you might want to click on the pictures for a closer look. I am determined to learn some better picture taking skills!
Here is an up close look at China Glaze Flying Dragon. Purple nail polish with tiny pink and blue specs that you can barely see. It dries matte and I think it looks gross with a top coat! Looks a little more Barney the dinosaur purple than what is showing up in the picture.

Zoya Ivanka
This is two shades of Zoya Ivanka. I have finally found a green nail polish that looks good with my skin tone. This makes me so happy because green is my favorite color. I often stay away from buying green nail polish because I find most of them just don't look good against my skin color. This shimmery green polish has a great formula that is easy to work with. I absolutely love this!!

Broken Hearts
Guess who is actually back with a decent post? ME!!! ME!!! ME!!!
I got the idea for this manicure from sayanythingbr00ke's Anti-Valentine's Day manicure. Instead of using the usual ring finger as the accent nail, she used the middle finger to give that extra "umph" to the manicure. So I went in the same direction and used the middle finger as my accent nail!
The base color is two coats of Icing Gargoyle. On the middle finger I made little hearts with Zoya Delilah with a dotting tool. To "break" the hearts I used Sally Hansen Black Out. Although Icing Gargoyle is already a matte polish, I added Maybelline Matte Maker as a top coat, which apparently ended up giving the manicure a satin finish (that I do like).
By the way, I have probably used Maybelline Matte Maker in about 3 manicures tops and a little more than 1/4 of the .5 oz bottle has disappeared. *shrugs*
I will probably post a Valentine's Day manicure on Sunday!

Just a little something...
You all are probably tired of seeing these two polishes but here is Milani Gems layered over Zoya Skye. My nails are still super short ;[ THEY NEED TO GROW OUT NOW!!
(The watch was a present from bf a couple months ago.)
I PROMISE to have a quality post or two this week! After being sick and starting back up with school, I just have not really had much motivation. I have also put myself on a "don't buy unless it is less than $5 and extremely worth it" nail polish plan until further notice!

Zoya Delilah
Zoya Delilah is the last of my 3 free polishes from the Zoya FB promo. This polish is ruby red colored with red iridescent sparkles. The above photos are of two coats with top coat but I could have used another coat of top coat to make it really shine.
Of the three, I would say my favorite is Zoya Skye because it very wearable! It will definitely be one of those nail polishes that I will buy again when I run out!
My least favorite was Zoya Ki. Don't get me wrong - this is an awesome nail polish but, quite frankly, dark purples look horrible against my skin color.

Zoya Skye
I have to admit that I am a little tired of seeing so much color on my nails. When I ordered Zoya Skye from the Facebook 3 free promotion, I was super excited because this is the type on nail polish color I have been wanting for a long time. A nude colored polish that is opaque in less than 38338474839 coats. *sigh*
Below is 3 coats of Zoya Skye, which is a baby pink with a slight brown undertone to it. Of course there is still a little visible nail line but I mean come on! Like I said above, almost full opacity for a nude colored polish with only 3 coats is awesome for me. I do not have any nude polish like this in my stash that compares to this!
If you are looking for a nail polish color suitable for work or just need a break from all the bright and crazy colors, Zoya Skye is a great choice!

Zoya Ki
This is one of the three free polishes I got from the Zoya Facebook promotion! I received my package of Ki, Delilah and Skye today!
Although the color does not look nice against my skin color, I love this polish. Zoya Ki is a purple/forest green duo chrome (click on the pictures for close ups). I applied 2 coats but I should have applied 3. The formula is a little too thin and runny for me but the color of the nail polish makes me forget about this issue! =]
I will be posting swatches of Delilah and Skye in the coming days!
