Here is another quick post. I haven't posted any nail related stuff in a while and I didn't even notice! The manicure I have for you today is American Apparel Peacock with Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure on top of that. Click on the pictures for a closer look!

Pink Lemonade

Hey!!

Even though I am pretty much over the whole crackle phase, I really like this manicure! It reminds me of pink lemonade :)

Here is the breakdown:

Base Color: OPI Banana Bandanna

Layered over base color: NK Instinct

Layered over second color: Sally Hansen Fuchsia Shock crackle polish (75% off right now at CVS!)

Zoya Yara with Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure

Hey guys! I am slowly getting back into the blogging mood.

Today I have a manicure done using two to three coats of Zoya Yara and then one coat of Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure. I really love this combo - it reminds me of a forest or woodsy area during the fall time.

Gettin' Nutty

WOW! I haven't done a manicure post in what seems like FOREVER! That is going to change though. I just got a new bottle of Seche Vite and I am getting back into a steady schedule with school and life so expect to see regular posting (hopefully!).

The above manicure was done using two Love & Beauty polishes from the haul I posted here. The base polish is a scented polish called Natural, with the scent being Almond. Now, this doesn't exactly smell like almonds. It has a sweet scent that takes getting used to, at least for me. It doesn't smell nutty at al, but of course I don't know what usual almond scents smell like.

I accented the ring finger with Love & Beauty Turqoise, a polish with hexagonal and micro glitter. I topped it off with Maybelline Matte Maker because I tried using a Sally Hansen quick dry 2 in 1 top coat/base coat that I had laying around (because I ran out of Seche Vite) and it caused bubbles, which I HATE!

Cherry Smash

I added Sally Hansen Cherry Smash crackle polish over Milani Get It Glitter. This top coat crackled very quickly and I really like the formula!

A Gradient Sea Mani Refresh

I added Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure to the gradient manicure shown in my last post. Then, I added ELF Matte Top Coat, which gave it a satin finish:

Glow-in-the-Dark Rave Party

Base Color: Sally Hansen Black Out
Swirls: Jordana Tangy, China Glaze Tree Hugger and China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-Le
Tool Used: Dotter

Doesn't this mani remind you of a Glow-in-the-Dark Paint rave party? I should have added a glow-in-the-dark top coat on this mani from the ones I hauled here!

Spiraling Out of Control

Today's manicure consists of two coats of Ulta The Jungle Look. Then I stamped the design from the Bundle Monster Plate BM-224 using Sally Hansen Black Out and Confetti Wedding White. I am really enjoying this design and I don't want to take it off!

Violet Sparks

Three coats (still a visible nail line) of Sally Hansen Violet Sparks. Accent nail done with nail brush using China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le and Revlon Silver Dollar.

Happy Easter! I hope you all are enjoying your day.

Today's manicure consists of 2-3 coats of Sally Hansen Sweet Creams, which is a sheer and very light pink. I added a thin layer of Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure over every nail, including the accent nail. Then over Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure on the accent nail, I painted flower stems using Ulta The Jungle Look. I used Jordana Tangy, OPI Banana Bandanna and CND Eclectic Purple for the flowers. The stem and flowers were painted on using some paint brushes from a pack of 25 that I purchased at Michaels for less than $5.

Broken Hearts

Guess who is actually back with a decent post? ME!!! ME!!! ME!!!

I got the idea for this manicure from sayanythingbr00ke's Anti-Valentine's Day manicure. Instead of using the usual ring finger as the accent nail, she used the middle finger to give that extra "umph" to the manicure. So I went in the same direction and used the middle finger as my accent nail!

The base color is two coats of Icing Gargoyle. On the middle finger I made little hearts with Zoya Delilah with a dotting tool. To "break" the hearts I used Sally Hansen Black Out. Although Icing Gargoyle is already a matte polish, I added Maybelline Matte Maker as a top coat, which apparently ended up giving the manicure a satin finish (that I do like).

By the way, I have probably used Maybelline Matte Maker in about 3 manicures tops and a little more than 1/4 of the .5 oz bottle has disappeared. *shrugs*

I will probably post a Valentine's Day manicure on Sunday!

I Mist You Violet! (Elizabeth Taylor and Sally Hansen)

Hey guys! I know I haven't posted in a few days. Sorry about that! No fear though, I have some eye candy for you all!

Isn't that packaging classy?

Elizabeth Taylor "Violet" is, well, a violet colored nail polish with a slight neon violet pearl. With two coats, there is still a visible nail line and the pearl that you can see in the bottle does not translate as well on to the nails.

Do you see the pearl that I was talking about?

To give it a little kick and sort of enhance that pearl undertone, I added a layer of Sally Hansen "Mist You", which is a sheer pink nail polish with a very similar pearl as Elizabeth Taylor "Violet"

There's a Party Going on my Nails!

I'm wishing everyone a happy new year! Be safe tonight, whether you are going out or staying in! I'll be ringing in the new year with my boyfriend and my family =]

The mani below will be the one I am wearing to ring in the new year! As you can probably tell, I have been really loving Milani Jewel FX Gems. AMAZING! It looks just like confetti!

Base Color: 2 coats of Sally Hansen Black Out
Layered: Milani Jewel FX Gems
Accent Nail: 2 coats of Sally Hansen Black Out, one coat of Wet n Wild Dasher, one coat of Milani Jewel FX Gems and two rows of silver rhinestones

All topped off with two coats of Seche Vite!

My Favorite Nail Polishes of the Year!

As a way to wrap up the year, I figured I would develop a list of my favorite polishes that I have acquired this year! These are not necessarily polishes that were released this year. They are just favorites out of the ones I purchased in 2010.

By the way, if I haven't already stated before, 2010 was the year I fell in love with nail polish! My polish stash has grown significantly this year!

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms "Diamond" and "Imagine Coral", plus items added to my giveaway!

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms "Diamond" is a silver holographic nail polish. Above is three thin coats with Seche Vite on top! I absolutely love this nail polish although I do find is to be a little "90's tacky". Do I care though? NOOOOPPPEEE!!

Sally Hansen "Imagine Coral" is a bright, almost hot pink nail polish. It is a little brighter than what is showing up in the pictures. This is three coats. There is still a visible nail line which I am not liking very much but since this is a pretty color I will have to deal with it.

On the accent nail I added Wet n Wild "Dancer" which is pretty much the silver version of Prancer. I could not get my camera to capture this at all! Boo ;[
