Influenster Beauty Bloggers VoxBox 2012

Hey guys!

Today, I have a review on the Influenster Beauty Bloggers VoxBox 2012. If you are not familiar with Influenster, it is a program similiar to a subscription box with samples and full sized products. The difference is that it is absolutely free and you are chosen to receive one mainly based on demographics and how big of an influence you have in social media and in real life.

Not Your Mother's Smooth Moves Frizz Control Hair Cream with coconut & silk extracts (1.5 fl oz sample - 4 oz bottle retails for $6.00) - I have been using this hair cream since I received this box and I have to say that I have been loving it! Almost any beauty product with coconut in it is a win for me and this product smells amazing. The scent is not overwhelming either. I run a bit of the product through my hair after I wash it and I let it air try. My hair can be super frizzy and this has been taming it a bit more than the other products I have used in the past.

Goody Simple Styles: Spin Pin (Google Affiliate Ad) (Retail Value: $7.29) - I have to be honest here. I have not even attempted to try out these pins yet. Mainly because I am afraid that I will do it wrong and get it stuck in my hair. The instructions on the back of the packaging seem simple enough though. These seem great for if you are in a rush but want to but your hair in a neat bun.

Kiss Ever Pro Lashes Starter Kit (Retail Value: $5.99) - This kit comes with one pair of eyelashes (the item number is 56732 KPLS01 if anyone is wondering), a lash applicator and clear lash glue. These lashes are 100% human hair. If anypne has tried these, let me know in the comments below!

NYC New York Color IndividualEyes Custom Compact (Retail Value: $4.99) - This is my absolute favorite thing in this entire box! This compact (0156-08 Dark Shadows) comes with two crease colors, one all over lid color, a highlighter, a illuminator and a eyeshadow primer. The highlighter and illuminator are amazing! They brighten up the eyes and make any makeup look stand out. The shadows are very pigmented and the primer is not bad at all. The price is definitely a steal for this eyeshadow compact.

I may do a more in depth review on this compact so keep an eye out for that!

Bath & Body Works Mini Candle in Cider Lane (Retail Value: $3.50) - This candle is perfect for the fall months! The description reads, "As sweet as the trip to the local apple orchard each year, a delicious fall blend of mulled cider, warm caramel and sweet cinnamon". The description is pretty accurate on this one. These mini candles do not give too much of a scent throw when lit in a big room but these are perfect for bathrooms and smaller rooms in your home.

The box also came with a coupon for a $10 3-wick candle from Bath and Body Works, which I did not get a chance to use before it expired.

EBOOST (Retail Value: $28 for a box of 20 powders) - EBOOST claims to be a daily health booster. I have not tried this because my packet came with a hole in it. Has anyone tried this before? What do you think?

Influenster is currently invite only. If you would like to receive an invite, I have 5 invites to give away. Leave a comment below with your email and I will email you an invite on a first come basis.

Bath and Body Works Halloween PocketBacs

From Left to Right: Skulls Forbidden Apple, Sour Drop, Phantom Pumpkin, Bones Monster Mint, Chocolate Chew, Zombie Tonic Marshmallow, Bat Bite Apple, Vampire Blood Plum

Here is the final part of my Bath and Body Works haul from a few days ago. The Halloween PocketBacs were 8 for $5 (usually 5 for $5)!

I love Halloween and the design and scents of these PocketBacs are so cool! For a closer look, just click on the picture above.

Skulls Forbidden Apple actually smells like a red apple. Most apple scents are usually green apples, if I am not mistaken.

Sour Drop smells exactly like your typical sour candy: Fun Dip, Sour Drops, WarHeads, etc.

Phantom Pumpkin smells like the Creamy Pumpkin candle I posted about here. It is a light, sweet bakery scent.

Bones Monster Mint smells like a vanilla mint.

Chocolate Chew smells EXACTLY like a chocolate chew that may or may not have a fruit filling. Like when you bite into one hoping it is only chocolate and then find out it is cherry filled. LOL

Zombie Tonic Marshmallow smells just like the Marshmallow Fireside candle I posted about here.

Bat Bite Apple has the typical green apple scent.

Vampire Blood Plum smells lightly fruity but more of a perfume scent.

My favorite out of the 8 would have to be Phantom Pumpkin. If you have any of these, let me know which is your favorite. If you don't, which are you most interested in trying out?

More Candles! (Bath and Body Works)

Today, I have more candles to show you all. These are the two candles that my mom purchased (mentioned here). These are 14.5 oz. three wick candles.

Creamy Pumpkin is of course a bakery scent. It is sweet and warm. Smells a bit like pumpkin pie but not "genuine".

Marshmallow Fireside smells just like marshmallows. If you have the Zombie Squad PocketBac, which is marshmallow scented, it smells exactly like that (minus the alcohol scent that hand sanitizers have).

Do you have any Bath and Body Works candles that you think I should try out? I have really been loving these and I would love your recommendations!

*To answer your questions from the last post:

Amelia (In The Pink of Things): We bought a Nikon d3100 with a 55-200mm lens. Not a great lens for taking manicure pics but I am working on getting a lens more suitable for that!

Bath and Body Works Mini Candles

Left to Right: Hot Chocolate, Woodland Berry, Caramel Apple

If you follow me on Twitter (and if you don't, you should!), I tweeted earlier that I PROMISED I would have a new blog post up today. Am I a liar? I THINK NOT! =]

I am a little excited about this post because, 1) I have new things to show you and 2) The picture above is the first photo (and it is edited!) that I am posting on my blog that was taken on my new camera that boyfriend and I purchased!

I went to Bath and Body Works with my mom yesterday and knowing that the Halloween stuff is around, I just had to go in. I purchased some mini candles that are pictured above and a couple of PocketBacs, that I will show in an upcoming post. My mom purchased two full sized candles that I will also be reviewing in an upcoming post.

The 1.6 oz. mini candles were 3 for $5, which I honestly don't think is that bad. I mean, you get to try out a variety of scents before you go ahead and purchase the full size, which can put a whole in your wallet, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, on to the scents because this post is getting kind of long!

Hot Chocolate is truly an authentic hot chocolate scent. I don't even like chocolate scents but I really do love this one.

Woodland Berry is a clean scent that isn't very unique but it reminds me of another Bath and Body Works scent that I can't really remember at the moment. Sorry, I suck at this one!

Caramel Apple is a sweet and salty scent. To me, it is the kind of scent that I can only smell for a little while otherwise it gets kind of nauseating LOL if that makes any sense at all.

I hope you guys are doing well and once again thank you for reading! For those of you experts on photo taking and editing, let me know how this looks please. I would REALLY REALLY REALLY appreciate your feedback.

Small Bath and Body Works (BBW) Haul and Update

This haul is definitely long over due! I bought this stuff a few weeks ago but never got around to posting it up. I went into Bath and Body Works to pick up my free gift for the month of February and also purchased a few PocketBacs.

How cute are these PocketBacs?!

The free gift for February was a free travel sized lotion, shower gel and body spray. I chose Japanese Cherry Blosson body spray, Coconut Lime Verbena shower gel and lotion.

Hope you guys enjoyed this mini haul!

I just want to give you guys a little update on what is to come. I have tons of posts planned over the next month so definitely stay tuned for that.

Also, I have been gaining followers lately and I want to thank you all for following, reading and commenting my blog. I get so excited when I get new followers and comments because I really do appreciate everyone taking the time out of their day to visit my blog.

I am gearing up for a giveaway in the coming weeks so keep an eye out!

Bath and Body Works (BBW) Haul and UPDATE

Just a quick update for you guys before I show my BBW haul. I know I haven't posted in a few days, but that usually is the case during the weekends!

Sunday, I completely broke off my pinky nail tip on my left hand! Not only did it break completely off, it broke off a little further down to where I hit blood. IT BURNS SO BAD! Anytime anything touches, I feel like someone is holding a lighter to it. Unfortunately I had to cut down all of my nails.

So what does this mean? Well, I won't be taking any manicure pictures for a while. What I will do is show you all swatch wheels and throw in a few manicures that were done prior to having my blog but never got around to showing you all! For those of you who have seen them (my friends on my personal FB page), well just take this as a little look back!

Now, on to the haul!

I went to Bath and Body Works last Thursday to pick up my free gift for being a LUV BBW CLUB member. If you were one of the lucky people that caught the form to sign up (I found out the last day and quickly signed up online!!) then you should have received a punch card in the mail! I received mine about 2 and a half weeks ago. One Thursday out of every month (from January to May) you present your LUV BBW CLUB membership card and you will receive a free gift, no purchase necessary.

The free gift this month was your choice of a PocketBac, PocketBac holder and anti-bacterial soap.

I chose the Midnight Pomegranate PocketBac with a blue and white tie dye holder and Island Margarita anti-bacterial soap. Just three random choices!

When I got to the counter, I really could not help buying something and the new Carried Away scent was available in a 3oz. body splash for $2 and 2oz. lotion for $1! You definitely cannot go wrong there!

Again, at the counter, can't help myself! LOL! I saw these 1.6oz candles of the new scents: Calypso Sun, Carribbean Escape and Sparkling Mojito. These were on sale for 3 for $5 (reg. $3.50 each). They all smell amazing. Very tropical and they have me excited for the warm weather that will (hopefully) be coming soon!

All together I spent a total of $8.69 (includes tax). Can you say GREAT DEAL?!

I also went to my local LUSH and picked up two more of the Once a Year Massage Bar and two Cinders bath bombs. Sadly, my LUSH, which was in a Macy's, closed down on Sunday. I live in New York and there are a few LUSH stores in Manhattan but having this LUSH close by was such a convenience! I am sad to see it go because I only recently go into LUSH.

One last thing:

Here are a picture of the socks my aunt picked up for me at the BBW sale that ended on Sunday. They cost only $1 and change!

BATH AND BODY WORKS MINI HAUL

Last week I took a stroll in my local mall and decided to step into Bath and Body Works for the heck of it. Normally I do not shop in Bath and Body Works because the scents that take over that store is overwhelming. However, this time around I decided to check things out after hearing such great things about the PocketBacs. The promotion that is going on right now is 5 PocketBac for $5 when they are normally $1.50 each. The Slatkin & Co. 4 oz. candles were on sale for $5 each (Orginal $9.50).

Reindeer PocketBacs: Santa's Mallow Mint and Vixen's Sweet Mint.

Santa's Mallow Mint smells sort of like marshmallows with the tiniest bit a mint scent. I am not quite sure how I feel about this scent. Maybe it is because the color of it doesn't match up with the smell?

Vixen's Sweet Mint smells DELICIOUS! To me, it smells like bubblegum flavored medicine!

Holiday Traditions PocketBacs: Vanilla Bean Noel and Winter Candy Apple

Vanilla Bean Noel smells like vanilla with the tiniest bit of cocoa smell. I love vanilla but again, I do not like that the color does not represent the scent.

Winter Candy Apple does not smell like candy apples. Instead, it reminds me of a body wash I used in the past but I cannot remember the name of it. This PocketBac has a strong perfume scent, almost floral.

Twilight Woods Signature Collection

Twilight Woods smells AMAZING! It has a musky scent, which I think is perfect for guys to use since they may not like the other "girly" scents.

Cranberry Woods smells like fruit punch with a little floral smell.

Autumn has a floral scent but it is not overwhelming which I LOVE!
