Halloween Series: Quick and Simple Flames

Hey guys! I have decided to run a mini Halloween series. Today, I have a nail art idea. I used CND Eclectic Purple as a base. I painted on "flames" using Color Club Koo-Koo Cachoo and China Glaze Ick-a-bod-y.

This would also look cool with a red background (for a "Hell" theme") but I think the purple looks great! This is a veryyy simple mani to do if you run out of time while getting your costume together!

My Favorite Nail Polishes of the Year!

As a way to wrap up the year, I figured I would develop a list of my favorite polishes that I have acquired this year! These are not necessarily polishes that were released this year. They are just favorites out of the ones I purchased in 2010.

By the way, if I haven't already stated before, 2010 was the year I fell in love with nail polish! My polish stash has grown significantly this year!

This list is not in any certain order!

  • Milani Chantilly and Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure
  •  Sally Hansen Diamond (middle)
  •  Revlon Perplex (far left) and Milani Hi-Res (far right)
  •  OPI Banana Bandanna
  •  Milani Hi Tech
  •  Color Club Poptastic
  • Milani Gems and Wet n Wild Prancer

SIMPLE HALLOWEEN DESIGN

China Glaze Zombie Zest- This polish is wonderful. Application is great and is opaque with two coats but I believe I put three just to be safe. This polish is green with gold sparkles yet at some angles the sparkles appear to be emerald green.

After a failed marbling halloween design, I decided to start fresh and just do a simple design.

Base: Seche Vite Crystal Clear Base Coat
Base Color: China Glaze Zombie Zest
Pumpkin: Color Club Koo-Koo CaChoo, outlined with China Glaze Ick-a-bod-y, "carvings" in Sally Hansen  Black Out
Top: Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

PINK?!

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, I have chosen four of my favorite pink polishes in my collection to show to you all!

From Left to Right: Color Club Poptastic, L'oreal Techno Tint, Milani Pyramid Passion, Maybelline Petal Power

These polishes are pretty much shown true to color in this picture! As you can see, I've used quite a bit of Techno Tint and Petal Power. They are just so pretty!
