NYX Blues and Greens

Hey guys!

You all are probably wondering, "WOW! Two blog posts in a row from TheVEROblog?!" Well, this is because I am procrastinating. I am supposed to be working on a 10 page paper right now but instead, here I am!

The above picture shows a prize I won from NYX Cosmetics. They hosted a contest on their Facebook page on October 25 in which you had to search the September 2011 issue of Allure Magazine for all the NYX products featured throughout the issue and then email in your answers. The first 50 to email in their correct answers won the items that were in the magazine and I was one of the winners!

Single Eyeshadows: Seafoam Green and Exotic Green- I have never tried NYX eyeshadows before and I have to say that these are very pigmented. I see why everyone loves these so much!

Extreme Shine Eye Liner in Sunrise Blue- This eyeliner applies so smoothly and is long lasting! 

Studio Liquid Liner in Extreme Blue- I love the brush on this eyeliner and the color is amazing! This is also very long lasting.


There was another contest on the NYX Facebook page and I won that too so I can't wait to see what goodies I get sent!

NYX Round Case Lipsticks: Summer Love and Doll

I have been seriously loving NYX Round Case lipsticks! The two that I recently purchased were Summer Love and Doll. Summer Love is definitely not something I can wear by itself because it is way too light for my skin tone. Doll, on the other hand, is AMAZING! I love love love the color against my skin and I will definitely be wearing Doll throughout the summer months.

Let's be honest. I don't know much about makeup LOL I mean, I love watching all the YouTube gurus, looking at hauls, etc. However, I am pretty simple when it comes to makeup. With just a light dusting of powder, mascara, eyeliner and lip balm, I am ready to go. I've been trying to step my game up lately, though!

Since discovering that my local beauty supply store carries NYX products at about half the retail price ($1.49 USD vs. $3.99 USD for the lipsticks), I decided to try out a few of their round cased lipsticks. I have really been loving these! Although they aren't terribly long lasting (but this could be due to my need to constantly lick my lips LOL), they get the job done. The colors are vibrant and the consistency is creamy.

The two that I have been wearing constantly are Indian Pink and Paris. Do you have any favorite NYX lipsticks? Recommendations of NYX products?
