Quick CVS Haul: $30 Worth of Stuff for $11

I just got back from CVS and I decided to post a small haul for you guys.

1. & 2. Ardell Fashion Lashes #137 Black - On clearance for $2.99 each. (Originally $4.99 each) - I have never really worn fake eyelashes except for last summer when a friend and I decided to try individual lashes. These seem to look pretty good and they were on sale so I don't feel too bad for buying them if I don't end up liking the way they look.
3. Dr. Miracle's Deep Conditioning Treatment  $1.99 - I have used this before and although I can't tell you if I saw much of a difference in my hair, I can tell you that it has an amazing cooling feeling that makes my scalp feel loved lol
4. Duo Eyelash Adhesive Clear $6.49 - I hear this is one of the best eyelash adhesives so I decided to give it a try.
5. Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeep (yes, it really is spelled that way on the bottle) Conditioner $5.29 - There has been huge buzz about this product and finally decided to pick it up after seeing it disappear from a lot of store shelves.
6. Dove Hair Therapy Extra Hold Hairspray $3.50 (Originally $5.49) - Pretty interested in how this will work. Plus, I admit I mostly picked it up because I love the packaging on this haha.

Coupons:
$5 Beauty Rewards ExtraBucks
$5 off $20 purchase
30% off entire purchase (ended up being around $2.48)

Total: $11.73 including tax

Crystal Stars...Why Not!

If you follow me on Twitter, you would have already known I was going to post today! I am actually pretty surprised that I said I was going to do it and actually came through haha.

Just a quick update before I talk about the above manicure. I am still working and I just started summer classes. I really am trying to get back into blogging. I want to get back on a schedule of doing it. I tweeted a lot about this earlier today but I will mention it here as well. I don't want you guys to expect to see a lot of new nail polish on here because in all honesty, I haven't really been buying nail polish at all. I am going to be doing a lot of manicures with the nail polishes I already have. Plus, there are going to be a lot of reviews coming soon. I have so many that I need to get done so you guys need to bare with me! I am also hoping to get a giveaway up soon for all of my loyal followers that have stuck around while I have been popping in and out of here.

Anyway, here is the breakdown of the manicure above:

Base Coat: Milani Base Coat/Nail Grow
Base Color: Sinful Colors Why Not
Pointer Finger: China Glaze Liquid Crystal over Sinful Colors Why Not
Ring Finger: Truth of Isis star decorations  with a bit of China Glaze Liquid Crystal dabbed on top.
Top Coat: Seche Vite

China Glaze Liquid Crystal

I would love if you kindly ignore my horrible nails and cutiles! These are the hands of a working woman haha!

I know it has been a while since I last posted. Between school, work and life I really don't have much time for anything. I have a ton of reviews that I need to get out to you guys.

I also haven't really been painting my nails much because they get really messed up at work. I bought China Glaze Liquid Crystal at Ulta last week. I didn't even know this was part of a new collection lol I am so out of the loop.

Anyway, I hope this post will do for now..I am getting the flu and I figured if I am going to be laying in bed for the next couple hours, I might as well do at least one useful thing!

Influenster Love VoxBox Item: Kiss Nail Dress in Bodysuit

I was lucky enough to receive the Love VoxBox from Influenster, which was filled with chocolate, tea, a sugar substitute, a razor and a set of Kiss Nail Dress.

The pattern of Kiss Nail Dress (Retail Value: $6.99) that I received was Bodysuit (KDS14). Firstly, I love the packaging. It is small enough to just throw in a bag on the go. They have tons of other different designs as well.

The package includes two sheets of nail strips and a double sided file. Now here is my issue. The packaging says that it includes 28 strips in 14 sizes. I have counted this a million times and thought I was crazy but there are only 22 strips. Can someone who has tried these before please explain this to me lol!

The strips are really simple to apply. Just peel off, stick on and file off the excess. Many of the strips didn't fit my nails perfectly but the design was cute so I didn't mind too much.

I am not sure if I would buy these again. Maybe if they make more sizes! If you have reviewed these, please leave a link below because I would love to read what you thought!

Kiss 100 Full Cover Nails Review

(yes, I do realize this picture is super grainy but at least the colors are correct!)

If you read my Duane Reade Haul post, I mentioned that I purchased these Kiss 100 Full Cover Nails in Medium Length Active Square and the reasons why I did.

The package comes with 5 different sizes. This is the main thing to think about when purchasing fake nails - not all the nails will fit perfectly to your nail size. This happened to be the case with me. With some of the nails applied, I can still see my natural nail on the corners.

In terms of length, the package claims to be medium length but I found them to be too long (so I can't even imagine the long length package!). I ended up cutting them and filing them down a bit. If I do purchase these again, I will definitely go with the short length nails.

The glue that comes with the package is pretty good. It doesn't dry up in the bottle after one use and it has been holding up pretty well. I have had these nails on for two days now and only the thumb nail on my right hand came off last night, but that may have been error on my part. When I glued that nail on, I left a major air bubble. All I had to do was glue it back on and I am good to go :)

I painted the nails using Zoya Skye and I did a simple design on the accent nail using the Sinful Colors polishes Why Not and Hazard from my Duane Reade Haul.

Final Verdict: I will probably purchase the short length for future occasions where my nails look like crap and I need a quick fix!

Duane Reade Haul

Well hello there beautiful people!

If you follow me on Facebook, you would have read earlier that I made a trip to Duane Reade to pick up something I had a coupon for. I ended up walking out with more than what I went there for BUT I did get some good deals! (Not that I needed any of this stuff haha)

The item I went looking for was the Suave Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo (Retail Value: $4). I had a coupon for a free item from that line and that was the one I chose. I haven't tried it yet but I will be doing a comparison/review soon of the regular Suave Dry Shampoo versus this version.

There were a bunch of clearance bins with everything from beauty items to food items to everyday items. I picked up two Wet n Wild Limited Edition Color Icon Glitter Kits. These retail for $4.99 but were on clearance for $2.49 each. Each kit comes with a palette of six eyeshadows and a "shimmer pencil", which really isn't shimmer anything (it is basically a regular black eyeliner/brow pencil).

I also picked up two Sinful Colors nail polishes. Both of them were in the clearance bin but only one came up as clearance. The blue polish is called "Why Not" (on clearance for .99 cents) and the coral polish is called "Hazard" (Retail: $1.99).

There were also these nail whitening tabs in the clearance bins. I am kind of skeptical but they were only .99 cents (originally $1.99) so I picked up two packs, just in case it really does work. Each package comes with two tabs. I will be sure to try these out and review them for you all here soon :)

The last thing I picked up was a pack of Kiss 100 Full Cover Nails in Medium Length Active Square. You are all probably wondering why I bought these. Well, because of work, my nails have pretty much turned to crap (and lets not get started on my cuticles). They are all shaped differently and some are weaker than others. Having my nails this way has made me not want to paint my nails as often. After having seen a few reviews on these on YouTube, I decided I should just buy them and try them out. These cost $7.99 (not on clearance). I haven't worn fake nail in about 2 years or so but I figure these won't be as damaging as acrylic nails.

Hope you all are having a great weekend and I hope you guys are seeing that I really am trying to get it together when it comes to blogging! I have tons of reviews coming soon :)
