Duane Reade Haul

Well hello there beautiful people!

If you follow me on Facebook, you would have read earlier that I made a trip to Duane Reade to pick up something I had a coupon for. I ended up walking out with more than what I went there for BUT I did get some good deals! (Not that I needed any of this stuff haha)

The item I went looking for was the Suave Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo (Retail Value: $4). I had a coupon for a free item from that line and that was the one I chose. I haven't tried it yet but I will be doing a comparison/review soon of the regular Suave Dry Shampoo versus this version.

There were a bunch of clearance bins with everything from beauty items to food items to everyday items. I picked up two Wet n Wild Limited Edition Color Icon Glitter Kits. These retail for $4.99 but were on clearance for $2.49 each. Each kit comes with a palette of six eyeshadows and a "shimmer pencil", which really isn't shimmer anything (it is basically a regular black eyeliner/brow pencil).

I also picked up two Sinful Colors nail polishes. Both of them were in the clearance bin but only one came up as clearance. The blue polish is called "Why Not" (on clearance for .99 cents) and the coral polish is called "Hazard" (Retail: $1.99).

There were also these nail whitening tabs in the clearance bins. I am kind of skeptical but they were only .99 cents (originally $1.99) so I picked up two packs, just in case it really does work. Each package comes with two tabs. I will be sure to try these out and review them for you all here soon :)

The last thing I picked up was a pack of Kiss 100 Full Cover Nails in Medium Length Active Square. You are all probably wondering why I bought these. Well, because of work, my nails have pretty much turned to crap (and lets not get started on my cuticles). They are all shaped differently and some are weaker than others. Having my nails this way has made me not want to paint my nails as often. After having seen a few reviews on these on YouTube, I decided I should just buy them and try them out. These cost $7.99 (not on clearance). I haven't worn fake nail in about 2 years or so but I figure these won't be as damaging as acrylic nails.

Hope you all are having a great weekend and I hope you guys are seeing that I really am trying to get it together when it comes to blogging! I have tons of reviews coming soon :)

Fire Ants!

Well clearly I am a big pile of poop blogger! I haven't posted anything since the beginning of this month. *smacks head* I have been busy though. I started a new job, so between that and school, I have no time for anything! Hope you all forgive me :) I have so many posts I would like to get done and I hope to really get going on them soon but no promises!

The above is Milani Jewel FX in Red over Wet n Wild Black Creme. As the title suggests, this mani reminds me of red ants coming up out of the ground.

Chocomize.com Review

"Chocolate exactly the way you want it. No matter how unusual. This is the innovative idea behind the start-up company Chocomize." - Chocomize.com

This post is going to be different from the usual stuff I post on here, but WHO CARES?! IT'S CHOCOLATE. Not just any chocolate, if I may add.

Chocomize.com is an online company in which you can customize chocolate bars. There are tons of different ingredients you can add to spruce up a normal chocolate bar (dark, milk and white). From dried fruit to candy to nuts and even bacon, the possibilities are endless. If you need some suggestions on what to get, there is a page of their popular chocolate bars or you can do what I did, and order an "I Feel Lucky" bar, which is a randomized chocolate bar.

If you "Like" me on Facebook, you may have seen the post I shared from the Chocomize Facebook page, in which they were offering a 30% off your entire order for 3 days for reaching 30,000 fans on Facebook. As I have been stalking the Chocomize website for a few months now, I took this as an opportunity to finally place an order.

I decided to get 5 "I Feel Lucky" bars for my family and I. These bars are actually a great value at $3.95 each because a plain chocolate bar without any added ingredients is $3.95. For the 5 chocolate bars plus shipping and tax (minus 30% off) my total was $18.82. I ordered on a Friday and received my package on the Monday :)

Here are the descriptions of the "I Feel Lucky" bars I received, my thoughts and the retail value if I would have customized the same exact bar myself.

1) Milk Chocolate bar with king-sized Kit Kat pieces and chocolate covered cookie dough pieces. This bar is soooooo delicious. The flavors really compliment each other. Plus, I love cookie dough AND Kit Kats! Their milk chocolate is very rich and satisfying. I have never been much of a chocolate eater but this chocolate is definitely better than your normal Hershey's chocolate bar. (Retail Value: $5.45)

2) Milk Chocolate bar with M&M's, toffee and caramel pieces. This is another bar that tastes amazing. It is a bit too sweet for me but that is actually good so I can eat it in moderation haha.  (Retail Value: $6.40)

3) Milk Chocolate bar with Reese's Pieces, Kit Kat pieces and peanut butter drops. I gave this one to my mom so I didn't personally taste it but do I really need to? All those peanut butter and milk chocolate flavors really compliment each other. (Retail Value: $6.30)

4) White Chocolate bar with Teddy Grahams and yogurt pretzels. Can someone pinch me? Their white chocolate is AMAZING! (Retail Value: $5.65)

5) Milk Chocolate with M&M's and pretzels. I gave this bar to two little kids. This is perfect for the them! The saltiness of the pretzel works well with the sweetness of the chocolate. (Retail Value: $5.35)

I was surprised I ended up with such great "I Feel Lucky" bars. I recommend Chocomize.com and encourage you to check out their website and Facebook page. They really do reach out to their fans on their Facebook page and they have wonderful customer service.

Have you ever purchased anything from Chocomize.com? What did you get?

Matte and Abstract

Hey all,

Hope you all had a great week. Today's post was done using Zoya Kendal as a base. I mattified it with Maybelline Matte Maker and stamped a design with Wet n' Wild Black Creme. As you can see, I messed up the pointer finger but I didn't have the patience to go back and fix it haha.
