BOYFRIEND 21st BIRTHDAY HAUL

My boyfriend Steve turned 21 on August 22nd. Instead of purchasing one big gift, I decided to get him  few little things that he will be able to use.

1. Wahl 17-Piece Lithium Ion Rechargeable Trimmer.
This is something I knew he needed because the one that he has is barely hanging on.

2. Personalized 2 oz. Engraved Double Shot Glass.
I purchased this from Ebay.com from seller kimblejones! The first line is my boyfriend's name (I blocked out his last name). The second line is the date of his 21st Birthday. I was going to put his birth date but decided to stick the 21st birth date in order to commemorate it. The image is one of many graphics the seller offers to be engraved onto the shot glass.

3. Coupon Book - This is a simple little book I made with paper and markers. Inside are coupons he can exchange for certain things such as a "YOU WIN" coupon in which he can end an argument and a "WILD CARD" for anything he wants. I included 21 of these coupons.

4. & 5. (2) Hanes 4-pk Boxer Briefs - These were buy one, get one half off at Kohls. Everyone needs underwear right?

6.  Sonoma 6-pk Ankle Socks - Everyone needs socks right! (Do not comment on the fact that these are women socks. They are so much better than men socks! lol)

7.  Eos Lip Balm Sphere in Summer Fruit - My boyfriend loves a good lip balm (as do I!). I've heard great reviews about this lip balm and decided to pick one up for him (and one for me too!) at my local Duane Reade.

8. Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil - I also picked up this lip balm because he is always loosing them. He loves Burt's Bees lip balms and I decided to pick up this one with Pomegranate Oil which we have never tried before.

9.  Advil 24-count Tablets Pain Reliever/Fever Reducer - For those tough days when I give him a headache and beat him up (LOL just kidding guys)

10. Green and Blue Tie dye Cup with Twisty Straw - Got this at Duane Reade on clearance. A cup for his birthday drank.

11. $25 American Eagle Outfitters Gift Card

12. Secret Deodorant in the scent "Fresh Water Orchid" (because women's deodorant smells better!)

13. Birthday Card

14. Lunch at California Pizza Kitchen

15. Travel Sized Listerine

16. Carlisle Plasma Ball - Purchased this in the mall at a store which I believe is called Gizmos and Gadgets. I can't even describe how cool this ball looks. It always has a setting in which the lights react to your voice. VERY COOL!

QUICK SPOTLIGHT: AJ RAFAEL and ALBERT POSIS

I LOVE YouTube. That may even be an understatement. The amount of talent that can be found on this website is immense, as many of you already know.

There is one video that I found on YouTube that I have not stopped playing. It is a cover of Justin Beiber's "That Should Be Me" mixed with Tae Yang's "Wedding Dress". This cover is done by YouTube sensations AJ Rafael and Albert Posis.

This cover is AMAZING and I honestly have to say that I prefer this over the original. Sorry Beiber fans, sometimes someone else does it better!

Check out the video below and don't forget to check out their YouTube channels! (linked above).

UPDATE/COMING SOON

I have been super busy with work. I feel like a broken record but it is back-to-school season so the store that I work in is crazy busy. When I get home, I am too exhausted to do anything.

My boyfriend's 21st Birthday is coming up on the 22nd, so I will doing a birthday haul of the items I am getting for him. I can't even post a sneak peak because he will see this! >=/ lol

My birthday is on the 29th! I'm not too excited this year though.

Reminder: I will be doing a giveaway when I reach 50+ followers.

GREAT DEALS/MINI HAUL

Today I present my first mini haul =]. I headed over to Kohl's and Duane Reade to browse a little and purchased a few things.

Kohl's:

There was a sale on Dorm Essentials, so I ended up buying a Student Lounge Over-the-Door Shoe Organizer which was on sale for $10.99 (Original $21.99). This organizer has 24 pockets and the one I purchased is in the color black.

All my shoes were all over my closet floor and in the laundry room. Now, My closet floor is a little more organized! This is a great item to have. The only downside is that some of my sneakers and heels do not quite fit in properly but my sandals fit perfectly!

The next item I purchased was a Student Lounge Over-the-Door 4-Hook Metal Hanger for $4.99 (Original $9.99).

I will be using this to hang my towels on. To my disappointment, this item does not quite fit over my door as nicely as I would like it to.

Total with tax: $16.51
Discount (Kohl's Cash): -$10.00
My Total: $6.51

Duane Reade:

Color Club Twiggie

Color Club Koo-Koo CaChoo

Color Club Poptastic

These pictures that I obtained from the Cosmetic Group/Color Club website do no justice for these colors. The pink and orange polishes are bright neon's. The green polish is also slightly brighter than what it shown above in the picture.

The polishes were each $3.99

I also picked up some Dial hand sanitizer for $1.79 because at work I am constantly handling dirty boxes and ladders and I like to keep this in my work smock to freshen up!

My Total with tax: $14.98

SPOTLIGHT: RUSSELL PETERS - "be a man!"

Russell Peters on the Red carpet.Image via Wikipedia

Russell Peters, a stand-up comedian, was born on September 29, 1970 in Canada and is of Indian descent.

Peters began performing in his hometown of Toronto, Canada  in 1989 and has since performed all over the world. He has had sold-out shows in many countries including Canada, United States and Australia.

Peters has appeared on numerous television shows and has been featured in five DVDs.

If you are offended by profanity and racial jokes then you probably shouldn't watch. In my opinion Peters jokes are in good fun and if they weren't he would not be as successful as he is =]

Below are a few clips of Comedian Russell Peters in action. I could write a million things about Peters, but you have to experience his talent!

SINFUL COLORS: FIJI

PLEASE EXCUSE THE HORRIBLE QUALITY PHOTO!

I ended up using the camera on my HP laptop which at least shows the color a little better.

So anyway, last week I purchased my first Sinful Colors polishes: FIJI 214 (pictured above), HOTTIE 831 (glitter polish) and LET'S MEET 928 (yellow with tiny flecks of gold red and green).

I don't quite know what to think of this polish.

Firstly, FIJI is a beautiful purple polish with tiny flecks of pink and blue.

Aside from that, application is not great. The polish is sheer and required many brush strokes to get an even FIRST coat, which was very annoying. The manicure required 3 coats. I decided to wear it without a top coat because the polish is shiny on its own and just to see how well it wears.

...and I was disappointed. As the polish was drying, I got a few tiny bubbles (but there could be a number of reasons why this happened). This polish gets nicked VERY easily. A top coat is definitely needed.

I haven't used HOTTIE or LET'S MEET yet but when I do, I will post pictures of those. Hopefully I will have figured out how to take pictures with my camera by then!

Overall, I do like the color selections and for the price they aren't that bad!
