Knotty Wine

Hey all.

Above is a manicure using China Glaze Knotty and Omega Labs Nail Art Striper Brush in Burgundy Wine, that were sent to me from, which I mentioned here. I also L.A Colors Nail Art Brush in White on the accent nail.

China Glaze Knotty is a tan colored nail polish with scattered holographic flecks throughout the polish. If I remember correctly, I used three coats of this polish for full opacity.

I absolutely love love love the brush on the Omega Labs Nail Art Striper Brush in Burgundy Wine. It is super thin, which allows for a better use of this polish. The formula is also very nice compared to the thickness of the L.A Colors Nail Art Brushes. I highly recommend this Omega Labs polish!

There are noticeable nicks on this manicure and I have a pretty bad cut by my cuticle on my ring finger, which I tried to cover up as best as I could in these pictures!

TheVEROblog One Year Anniversary..sort of

My one year blog anniversary has come and gone unnoticed by me! I have been so busy that I had not realized when July 16th came and went.

I want to thank all of you that have been following from day one and those who have hopped on along the way. I love blogging, although I do not have the time to post more often like I want to.

I will not be hosting a giveaway right now because I honestly do not have the funds or the time but when I do, it will definitely be worth while!

Recently, I was contacted by a rep from, a website that sells discounted and wholesale nail supplies. This includes many name brand nail polishes (China Glaze, OPI, Zoya, Orly), nail art items and tools!

I was sent a few items as a preview of their selection.

Omega Labs Nail Art Striper Brush in Burgundy Wine ($2.99 USD) and China Glaze Knotty ($3.50 USD)

Nail art stars by isis: Summer Field ($2.99 USD) and Daydream ($2.99 USD) has such a great selection of products and wonderful customer service. The prices DEFINITELY aren't bad either.

Check it out - you never know if you might find that nail polish you have been lemming!

(I will be reviewing the products themselves in my next post!)

Mixed Up Mani

Hey guys! I know I haven't posted in a few days but things have been kind of hectic around here!

Today's mani was done using Confetti Wedding White, Confetti Moonstruck, Cover Girl Crackle Ghost and Wet n Wild Collecting Pollen. These pictures were taken after about a week of wear.

A Gradient Sea Mani Refresh

I added Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure to the gradient manicure shown in my last post. Then, I added ELF Matte Top Coat, which gave it a satin finish:

(yup, that's right - awkward right hand photo shots!)

A Gradient Sea

Hello all!

Today, I have a gradient effect manicure for you (click to enlarge the pictures!). I used a base of Ulta Blue Streak. I have to be honest, I don't quite remember what the middle color on this manicure is because I did this two weeks ago! I know, I know: FAIL!! The color on the tip is Ulta Dance Teal Dawn. I applied 2mm rhinestones on the accent nail.

Red, White and Blue!

Happy (early) 4th of July! The above manicure was done using Maybelline Eternal Red, China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-Le and a LA Colors Nail Art Deco polish in White.

Now, I have to admit - this manicure is all kinds of crazy! The thumb nail and the pinky nail are completely different designs. The pinky nail didn't even turn out to be much of a design anyway because I was rushing to leave my house and did a couple sloppy lines on that nail!

Get this! Like I said, I was in a rush to leave my house. Check out my right hand:
