SPOTLIGHT: iDeJANCE

Its time to take a break from all the nail polish related posts and get back to more variety.

Today, I am spolighting iDeJANCE, a YouTube channel created by choreographer Dejan Tunic. This channel focuses on choreography performed by Dejan and his many dancers of all ages. THESE VIDEOS ARE ADDICTING! Dejan and his dancers are extremely talented and are full of energy.

All of the videos posted on on this YouTube channel are choreographed by either Dejan Tunic or his assistant Janelle Ginestra. This duo teaches dance classes at the International Dance Academy in Hollywood, CA.

At the time of this post, iDeJANCE YouTube channel has recieved more than 500,000 channel views and more than 10 million videos views!

PAYLESS MAKES NAIL POLISH?

..well of course!

I recently learned from article on Nouveau Cheap that Payless would be selling beauty items starting in October 2010. To my surprise, my local Payless has already begun carrying a few beauty items! I scoured the display and prices seem to be reasonable enough.

The items I purchased were from a line called " Unforgettable Moments". I purchased a more-metallic brown-than-copper nail polish called "Precious Metal". I did not want to purchase more than one in case I did not like it. AND I DO LIKE IT! The formula isn't bad and I received full coverage with 2 coats. I saw about 6 different polishes along with sets of 3 in the display. I will probably be heading over to purchase more!

I also picked up two lip glosses: "Blossom" a shimmery pink coral and "Spice" a warm pink. These items were $2.99 each. As all lip glosses are, these were sticky but not overbearing as I have experienced with other lip glosses. As I am more of a chapstick and vaseline wearing kind of girl, I probably won't be using these very often.

Being the forgetful person that I am I did not take pictures of "Precious Metal" alone on my nails. I did, however, take a picture of the polish with Sinful Colors "Frenzy" layered over it.

I understand the picture quality is crap but *shrugs* these colors were extremely hard to capture on camera.
Have a nice day =] I will be busy studying for my Latin, Chemistry and Enviornmental Science exams

NAIL ART: GOLD and PURPLE HOLO

This is a manicure using Milani Hi-Res and 3D (shown in the first picture in the post below). These polishes apply wonderfully! 3D (the gold holo) applied beautifully with 2 coats while Hi-Res (the purple holo) required 3 coats to be fully opaque.

I had to stop myself from running to CVS to purchase more of these holographic polishes. Eh, I will probably stop in tomorrow!

My pinky nail broke off yesterday ;/ My nails have been breaking a lot lately. Lets hope this stops soon!

HUGE NAIL POLISH HAUL

I know I haven't been very consistent with my posts for a long time but between school and work there is no time for anything. I must sound like a broken record!

Over the past weeks, I have acquired quite a bit of nail polish. I feel sort of guilty showing some of them because I have had them for a while now and just have not gotten around to making a post. However, these are my most recent nail polish purchases!

From left to right: Hi-Res (Milani 514), 3D (Milani 510), Tahitian Turquoise (Confetti 065)

Milani products are BOGO at CVS this week so I took advantage and bought two more holo's. Is the Confetti brand a new brad of polish? I haven't seen these in stores before. This turquoise color is GORGEOUS and for $1.99 can you really go wrong? This looks like it will be great for layering!

From left to right: Get it Glitter, Pyramid Passion,Winter Wine, Glitzy in Denim

Pyramid Passion is more neon than what is showing up in the picture.

From left to right: Tricky Treat (MY FAVORITE OUT OF THESE FOUR!), Metallic Mango, Brown-a-licious, Chantilly

From left to right: Watermelon Rind (718), For Audrey (625), Flying Dragon (Neon, 1011)

Watermelon Rind is a gorgeous shimmery polish! I finally got my hands on For Audrey and I, well, LOVE IT! I was a little disappointed in Flying Dragon. The pink and blue shimmers in the polish did not show through as well as I would have liked them to.

From left to right: Gargoyle, Excited/Bored, Happy Earthy

Purchased these Glow in the Dark glitters at Rite Aid for $1.99 each! Isn't the packaging cute?

 Frenzy (Sinful Colors 922)

I've concluded that I like Sinful Colors glitters. I may not be too interested in their other polishes but the glitter polishes just reel me in!

This was a long post! If you made it to the end of this post without closing the page then awesome! Which of these polishes are your favorite?

SPOTLIGHT: A BLOG YOU NEED TO VISIT!

Once in a while I come across a blog or website that I will visit constantly, excited for new content.

In the Pink of Things is a beauty blog written by Amelia, "mid-twenties girl, student, make-up artist and blogger" (according to the site's "About Me" section). This blog was recommended to me by a friend and I have been hooked since!

What I love about this blog is the writer's spunk, her articles are silly yet full of information on many of todays beauty products. Every article includes a few essential pictures and short descriptions. Simple and straight to the point = a great blog!

Be sure to visit In the Pink of Things, you won't be disappointed!

UPDATE

The fall semester has started -_-

I am taking Consumer Chemistry, Environmental Science, Sociology of the Family and Beginners Latin. On top of a 5 day school schedule, I am working 35+ hours at my job. I even worked on my birthday (August 29) from store opening to closing ;/

That being said, I am exhausted when I get home and have not been posting as frequently as I would like to. I do have a few haul posts coming up and a spotlight post. STAY TUNED!
